Our story
The adventure began at a small bakery in Sigdal.
It all started with the crunchy idea of making extra flavorful, handmade quality crispbreads, packed full of crispy seeds and kernels. Since then, the word about Sigdal Bakeri has spread far and wide — and today, you can find our products even in the most remote corners of the world.
Maybe it’s because we care a little extra about the quality of our ingredients and never skimp on the good stuff. Because we gather ideas, ingredients, and recipes from near and far, and let ourselves be inspired to think in new ways. But even though we have reached out to the big world with our crispbreads, we have never forgotten where we come from. And we never stop pursuing those crunchy ideas.

Sigdal municipality is located in the heart of Buskerud, surrounded by stunning nature and enriched with a vibrant, lively cultural scene. With deep-rooted traditions, modern industry, and a strong commitment to local life, the people of Sigdal are connected across generations. It was here, in 1977, that the first Sigdal bakery was established.
We are a small, Norwegian bakery that aims to lead the way in creating authentic and pure quality products — for Norway and the rest of the world. With well-established roots in Norwegian tradition and an open mind to modern ideas, we strive to make food that not only tastes great but also feels good.
